If the report is about someone with access, the route goes around them

Three things that are true here

If you need to report something

You can report without telling us who you are

Your report goes to a channel your employer cannot edit. If the report concerns someone with access, the route goes around that person automatically.

You will get a receipt, and confirmation within three days, as the Working Environment Act requires.

One form, with or without your name

In immediate danger, call emergency services first. This channel is not monitored around the clock.

What happens next

After you press send

Straight away

You get a receipt

Proof that the report exists, and a code if you reported anonymously.
Within 3 days

You get a confirmation

Required by law. It tells you the report has been read and is being assessed.
Within about a week

Lawyers assess it

People with no relationship to your workplace decide whether this is a case.
After that

You hear what happens

You are told the conclusion and what follows. You may be asked for more detail — through the code, still anonymously.
You are not the first

Nothing is expected of you except that you say what you saw

You do not have to be sure, and you do not have to prove anything. Working out what actually happened is our job, not yours.

Your protection

Retaliation is illegal, not just frowned upon

Whistleblowing means an employee speaks up about censurable conditions at their own workplace. It is a right under the Working Environment Act — meant to uncover illegal practices, dangerous conditions or breaches of ethical guidelines — and the person who reports is protected against retaliation.

Not sure it counts

Whistleblowing, or a conflict at work?

Not everything difficult is whistleblowing — and it is not your job to know the difference. Send it anyway. Deciding what it is, is exactly what the assessment does.

This belongs here

Financial irregularity, harassment, danger to life or health, breaches of law or of your workplace's own rules, or working conditions that put people at risk.

This is better handled elsewhere

Disagreement about your own pay, tasks or holiday, and ordinary conflicts with a colleague. Ask your manager, HR or your union representative first — but if you have already tried, send it.

A personal disagreement with your manager is usually handled better and faster another way. We will tell you if that is what we see.

For employees

What people ask before they report

Not if you report anonymously. If you give your name, it is known only to the people handling the case — never to the person the report concerns.

Reporting in good faith is protected. You are not expected to have proof; that is what the assessment is for.

People outside your company. If the report concerns someone with access to the channel, the route goes around them.

A receipt immediately and a confirmation within three days. You are told what happens next, and when.
